Trip to Coimbra

Innes was a guest of the Behavioural Ecology Group at the University of Coimbra in Portugal. Two days were spent discussing plumage coloration in birds, particularly serins, and eating bacalhau in many different forms. Innes also gave a lecture at the magnificent Museu da Ciência da Universidade de Coimbra, on"Animal camouflage: evolutionary biology meets computational neuroscience, art and war". If you haven't been to Coimbra, go. And if you go there, visit the award-winning science museum and the university, one of the oldest in Europe (founded 1290).
